sound fine, but I am attempting to use these shapes to more closely match the piano:

Where I have indicated a C**, that chord is the beginning of the interlude that follows it.
In the instrumental section after the intro, I have indicated the basic count for the chord
changes, which should apply to the choruses as well.
The notes in parentheses are individual walking notes played on the low E and the A string
to mimic the bass. These can be played or skipped and you can also add those in several
other places in the song following those G chords.
For the G# A# C at the end of the song, I recommend Sliding the F shape up the neck.
If you find videos of Ed playing this one live (as is so often the case) he appears to be
playing it a bit differently. However, (for now at least...) I feel like what I have here
matches more closely to what Elton is playing on the piano.
